Default My model 547 3" round butt and 65-5 3" round butt

Hi Forum members,
Posting a picture of my new to me 9mm revolver, and my Model 65-5 that I got a while back and finally got some wood on it.
The 547 is from 1983 and the 65-5 is from 93.
Greg

Very nice combo, congrats.
I recently got a 3" and a 4" M547 and already had a 3" M13 and M65 LS.

Hi, I am so convinced that the 547 is not right for you! So that being the case, I am volunteering to take it off of your hands! I will be fair with you though!

Yeah, I know it isn't going to happen! Nice pair! Enjoy them! Bob

Nice pair. I'd like to find a set of those RB Targets for my 547. They look great.

Had a 3" 65 years ago that I let get away. Still kicking myself for that one.

Guys,
Thanks for the comments.
I didn't know anything about the 547 until a few weeks ago, all I knew was from the internet and SC of S&W. Then I was at the Fond Du Lac, WI gun show last weekend and what do I see. I had to have it. And now I do.
From what I've seen on this forum and gunbroke.com I think I got a fair deal. It's the only one I've ever seen in person, and is in excellent condition, so I didn't want to pass it up.
Went to the range Tuesday and shot the 547 with 115 gr. and 65-5 with various .38, .38+P and .357.
I was surprised how much kick I felt from the 9 mm, in the revolver. Have only shot 9 mm once before from a semi auto.

I'd like to find a 547 like yours. Looks like one sweet revolver. My 3" 65 will always be my favorite though.

Those are two very find revolvers. I have them as well. IMO the 547 is one of the best revolvers ever made.

Very nice guns. Congratulations.

I'm still looking for a 3" 547 but would take a 4" barrel in a pinch.

Got a pair just like yours. They are absolutely the best carry revolvers out there, in 9mm, .38 Special or .357 Magnum. I prefer an OWB holster, but IWB can be used if you have room in there.
Great pix, thanks for sharing.

I like 'em both... and the M65 is da bomb. It was the first Smith revolver l bought after l joined the forum and got caught up in the 3" madness. Got two of them now and sold a third. I plan on keeping them both for a very long time!

My 547 is a surprisingly accurate revolver - I have the 3" round butt variant and I enjoy "shelling" paint buckets at 75 yards or more outdoors when I get the chance. I am always amazed at how snappy and accurate that gun is...
