Hi everyone,

So I have been on the hunt for a "new to me" revolver in 44 and found a 629-5 Performance Center with barrel weights and it is pre lock, has the non fluted cylinder and no box or doc's and a Simmons scope. What are these going for? I know that the performance center guns are harder to price but they want $1000 for it and I am real temped. The gun looks like this but does not have the lock, also I included a thread that has a pic of the gun. (correction the link gun is not the one I was looking at and per Misguided info) thanks everyone.

Does it look like this 6"? I believe the -5 has the weights exposed on barrel. As far as price..that's not terrible, just depends on how bad you want it.. If you pass, let me know, I've been looking for one.

The linked gun is a Lew Horton Model 629 S&W Hunter Competitor, 200 were made, only 90 in the US. $1000 is very resonable for that model.

Mrwhite1 I do believe that is the gun, I did not even notice that the one I linked did not have the weights exposed. The one I am looking at has the weights exposed. Like the one in the pic but with out the lock.

Thanks guy's,

I had my LGS pull it and I will go back tomorrow and drop a down payment on it.

I really do envy you boys south of me (I'm in Canada). That gun new, sells for $1895 here! I have the 686 version of that and love it. With all weights in .357 feels like .22

WOW I would not even begin to try and get one of these if it cost that much here in the states!

Well I got her on lay-a-way, hope to have pictures soon, thanks everyone.
