Nice guns.
Maybe I'm behind the times, but I just noticed the 586's are back on Smith's website under the Classics line.

Nice, I love the classic look like a 19 or a 29 but there is just something about that full underlug that is plain cool....

I've said it before and I'll say it again, my photography skills leave a lot to be desired but here are my full-luggers.
6.5" 629-4 Classic, 5" 629-4 Classic DX, 6" 617-0 & 4" 617-0:
6" 686-3 Classic Hunter, 6" 686-4 PowerPort, 6" 686-0 & 4" 686-4:
It's odd but the S&Ws I shoot the most are two of the ones without a full lug - a 6" 66-2 and a 6" 629-1.

Beautiful handguns here.
I miss my 586 no dash. It's at S&W getting some loving. Hope she gets home soon.

Those are 19's on either end but there's a 648 and a 17-6 that meet the requirements of this thread!
I need some photography lessons!

That top Model 586 looks like an early one,
Guessing an AAA up to AAC serial prefix?
