Default Holsters for red dot equipped handguns

I expect to mount some holographic sights on some handguns in the near future, I often open carry outdoors, currently with iron sighted handguns and would like to continue to do so with the red dot equipped handguns. What are people currently doing for holsters in this situation. The guns I may carry: 629 5in, MK III 5.5in, Contender 10in.
The sights may be fastfire type or tube type.

Any advice, pictures, makers (custom or OTC) models etc. would be appreciated.

Thanks

I have a couple of large revolvers that are scoped with full size pistol scopes (8 3/8" model 29 and a Ruger Red Hawk with 7˝" barrel). I have long used the accross the chest Bianchi Hush System (in conjunction with a Bianchi Ranger Belt). It carries quite comfortably in rough country works well with my 10" TC Contenders, also) and quickly and easily adjusts for heavy or light clothing.

They make a scoped model and a model for gun without the scope. They also have an optional flap (snaps on and off) that I find very useful in protecting the gun in inclement weather and from thick brush.

I recommend it without reservation.

If you choose to equip your revolver with something like the J Point Reflex you'll end up with a package that is very easy to modify a standard holster to fit. I like Galco holsters because they are reasonably priced, well made, and available off the rack at my local gunshops. All told it took perhaps 5 minutes to carve some additional clearance for the J Points on these revolvers using an Exacto Knife. Afterwards I touched up the exposed fresh leather with a Sharpie pen to disguise the alteration.

Purchased 2 more J Point Reflex sights, range report.-j-point-2-jpg

btw, as you can see I rather like the J Point.

Thanks so much for the guidance, I tend to carry high ride strong side even with the 10" contender so my solution may look a lot like scooters. Any other input welcome. Thanks again.

I also used a Bianchi Hush chest holster for my Contender, but always liked the look os the Pistol Packaging Inc Bandito. Bandito Shoulder Belt
For the 629 you could also consider the Safariland 002 "Cup Challange" competition holster. Model 002 "Cup Challenge" Competition Holster | Safariland™ I believe Safariland makes a similar model for 1911 style pistols. I have also considered ordering a Bladetech Kydex holster for my 629. You could check if Bladetech will modify the holster to allow the use of a scope mount or you can modify the holster yourself. Their D/OS dropped & offset holster would work for your 1911.

Try the Blade-tech line of holsters. They work with red dot sights.
