Default Largest N-frame grips available

I have a 327 Night Guard, I carried it a short while, now it is my bedside gun, I am trying to figure out what is the largest grip I can buy for it, It looks like the Hogue's grip doesn't have the rubber for backstrap and the Pachmayr declerators do which grip gives a person with big hands the ultimate comfort when shooting? Thanks

They used to make a model called jordan troopers as bill jordan had hands like baseball mitts. I belive pachmyer made em. I have a pair somewhere and went to something else as they were even a little bigger than I like. I belive they are some form of hard plastic or rubber. They are a smooth grip.

The Pachymar Jordon Troopers were available in hard plastic, and sometimes you can find them on the auction sites, but they usually go for far more than their true value. The best option, if you can live with walnut grips, are a real set of Herrett's Jordon Troopers or Shooting Star custom made to fit your hand. Send Herrett a tracing of your hand and they will make a set just for you.

Here are some of my carry pieces with Herrett's on them:

Here's my favorite piece with Herrett's Shooting Stars, and a Andrew's carjacker holster:

Here's a set of Shooting Stars by themselves:

The most noticeable difference between Shooting Stars and Jordon Troopers, is that the Shooting Stars look as though have the speedloader cut out on both sides. However, you must always specifiy if you want the grips cut for speedloaders- if not, they will not work with them.

Get the 500 Magnum monogrip, it fits perfectly on either K or N frame round butt grip frames. That's one advantage to a rubber grip, it has enough giv to it to allow for some minor variation in the grip frame. BTW, I tried the Pachmayr Decelerator on my model 610 and found that it was too soft a compound and interfered with my recoil management. Putting the 500 Magnum grip solved that issue and it's the best fitting grip I've found for my hands. It's also rather soft shooting with a near perfect palm swell and IMO is the best grip you can mount on a S&W.

I believe that the standard M-460/500v rubber grips (Hogue) cover the front and back straps. Fills a large hand well and is excellent on shock absorbsion for any caliber. They fit any K/L/N/G-frame, round butt only. SKU#294670000 in Black (or survival Orange) for $37. Slim
