Default Need opinions on a 686 snub deal

I have been looking for a 686 snub for some time. There is one that I could buy in a FTF deal in my state. It is a 686-5
seven shot with a very nice set of factory finger groove combat grips. He wants $600 for it. The nice part is there would be no tax or transfer fee or shipping charges. What do you all think of the deal? I have a 686-4 seven shot with a 4 inch barrel that I really like. It has no MIM and has the firing pin in hammer. This revolver would have a MIM hammer and trigger and the firing pin is in the frame but no lock. The only other revolver I have like that is a 625-7 classic carry in 45LC that I really like!

That is a great deal as far as I am concerned. Heck, skip the deal and give me the sellers contact information.

Default 686 SNUB

The grips are worth 150 so that makes the gun a steal!!!

Go for it. That's a very fair deal.
I got my -5 for 575 and it just came with lowly goodyears.

Default Got it.

Thank you all for your input. I made the deal today. I was thinking that I would not really like the fingergroove combats, and that I would sell them to offset the cost of the gun, but they look really sharp on the gun and feel great in the hand. The revolver is in really fine shape and does not look like it has been shot much. I am really pleased. I knew you gentlemen would talk some sense into me. Thanks again. PD
