Model 37, factory nickel, Hogue Bantam grip, shipped 1982.
It rides in my left front pocket at work and in a Don Hume JIT or Safety Speed Spring Holster off duty.

Someone commented earlier abut j frames lacking power, accuracy, etc. well this little Guy with its mere 1 7/8" barrel throws 124 grains of lead at just over 1200 fps, 9mm 124 grain +p gold dots . Its also more accurate than my Glock 26. Pic wil l be added shortly.

I have to say
If I based my gun selection on the way others shot the guns, my collection would be pretty thin.

Thanks, for posting pics of some fine looking Smiths!
By the way, everybody does not have a J Frame! I am one that doesn't. No special reason. I am more of a K,L, N, kind of guy, and can't get enough of them. Bob

I tried to shoot J-frames for years, never could do very well with them, especially compared to my K-frames. I snagged a 3" Model 60 that I loved, but let a conniving woman talk me out of it. Then I found a 642 with a Crimson Trace grip that fits my smallish hands to a T......and I fell in love all over again. A 36-1 3" found its way into my accumulation a year or two later, and I recently fell into a deal on a nice 1958 M-43 (steel cylinder) with a 3.5" barrel. I'm sure others will follow.

Jframes seem to be the Lays Potato Chip of the S&W world. Nobody can have just one! Here's a REALLY bad pic of my SB 36, and my 442 is in my pocket!

No knuckle problems, but feels like I spread my hand and Tiger Woods slams it with a big driver. Never felt that much of a shock shooting a handgun before.
.357 Federal 158 grains.
But fun, in a masochistic way.

Thank you sir. I enjoy shooting photos of my guns almost as much as I do shooting my guns.
I've got mine loaded with Hornady Critical Defense 110 Gr. Non+P. It's a decent load. I might try the Buffalo Bore soon.
The leather is from Aker, the Model 137A Bodyguard Strapless model. It's from the company's Off Duty Belt Concealment lineup. I picked it up locally in Tulsa at a police supply store for $67. Fits like a glove. Aker International, Inc.
I'm looking to upgrade the stocks with Altamonts or Spegels very soon.

Model 36 classic & my new 442 pro. It has an incredible trigger.
The barrel & cylinder on the 442 pro are stainless steel. I confirmed this with Smith & Wesson. They also smooth the action as part of the pro series package. Pretty cool, huh?
