940 pics finally
Here are the pics of my new to me 940-1. Can anyone tell me the year of manufacture based on the serial #. I'm thinking 94, but not sure. It's BRR9883 if you can't read it on the box.
Thanks in advance, enjoy.
BTW, the most accurate revolver I have ever owned besides my old ppc gun. Shoots 3-4" groups at 25 yards with a less than perfect rest, I was very impressed. Love it.

Yes the 940 is a great revolver, wish S&W would bring it back.

Wonder if they brought it back, would the original ones lose their collector value....

Do you guys really shoot snubbies at 25 yards? Is there any practical use for shooting that far away with a snubbie?

I paid $650, saw one go for $905 recently but $700 is proably a good price with box, papers, etc. Was shooting it at 25 yards out of curiosity and was pleasantly surprised. Center mass hits at that range are quite easy off hand.

In case you wondered and cared, I now dislike you rather intensely. :-)

Was shooting for fun ......
However, its nice to know I could take a shot with it at that range if necessary.
