Default Question about 629 no dash

Were there any 8 3\8 629's no dashes made with recessed chambers but without a pinned barrel? Any idea what something like that would be worth?

Any combination is possible, they are called transition guns, I have a 4" 629-1 that doesn't have the dash mark the frame is stamped 6291 its pinned but not recessed , they aren't worth any more and I haven't heard that they are worth less than a regular gun, has far as price goes condition matters but a lnib 8 3/8" at $800 would be a good price around here

What he said except for a serious S&W collector and in that case they would be worth less.

The one I was looking at also has the frame markings light in the middle and normal on the two ends. I think I will pass on this one.
Thanks for the information.
