Default Looking at the 327 TRR8

I have a TRR8 on hold, deciding if i want it or not.

I have a 686, which I love. Is the 327 TRR8 a better shooter? Is the extra 2 rounds "worth it"?

The LGS had one a few months ago that I hemmed and hawed over, but went home with someone else, and lo and behold here is another one....

Looking for anyones 2 cents on them...

Thanks, ad

As for accuracy it is about the same maybe a little better but for smoothness, it will be very hard to find a smoother DA trigger than this plus you have 8 shots to work with. Being it is a lightweight frame you would think of muzzle flip with 357 loads but you do not have that because of the heavy barrel. The gun is an absolute dream to shoot. Some people do not like it simply because of the tactical look so that is why you can get the 627PC if you do not like it.

I started shooting Steel Challenge with a JM 625 six shot.

I quickly realized that an 8 shot revolver is what I needed. Soon I purchased an 627 PC and that was an improvement with the 8 shots.

Then I decided that I wanted to shot in "open" category (OSR) Bought the M&P 327 PC. It swings a little faster on targets and has the top and bottom rails permanently attached to the gun. It is ready for a red dot optic (C-More) very soon.

Good price for one of these. GB has them for more but you cannot always go by what things sell for on GB. To give you an example, someone had a NIB Marlin 1894 stainless 357 that was not a JM but a Remington made new one and it went for over $1100. You can get them new for $800 or less. It justs shows you people will have bidding wars and pay ridiculous amount of money for something for no reason.

Groo here
The TRR8 is one of those guns that you need to get over the look of[like NG]
Once you do that a whole new world opens up.
Rails for lights [night varmet gun] rails for scopes.
low light finish , changeable front sight, round but to allow any type grip
that fits you.
Mine is now Dad's Ohio deer gun [ he is 80 ] with a red dot.
I loaded him some 180 gr cast FP's that will hold a paperplate
at 150 yds if you do your part and makes 2 holes in deer.
