Default Finally finished my project 640-1

I now have my idea of the perfect BUG. I looked hi and low for my idea of the perfect back up gun, but no matter where I looked I was not happy. I was dead set on a .357 & I loved the S&W 640 in .357, it was my favorite platform, not too heavy, not too light, no hammer, what was no to like?. It was all stainless so the finish didn't rub off like the 642's. The 640 offered everything for me except the chrome flash trigger. This is a favorite for me because it resists rust unlike the hardened triggers and hammers. For summer carry this would be imperative for me to have, that way if it rained or I sweated, or it just plain collected moisture it wouldn't rust. Problem: The .357's were never offered with this option, So Thanks to some members of this wonderful forum I put together my idea of the perfect Back up/pocket/concealed carry gun.

Below is the finished product. A s&w 640 with flash chromed finish trigger (bought and installed by myself), boot grips (my bigger hands required the extra thickness the original grips did not have), original from the factory front night sight (still good and bright). The gun has all the original box and paperwork. I love this gun it has no back sights that stick up and catch on your pants or anything that will snag.

All in all I could not be happier with any other gun. It is my first "Project Gun" and one that has found its way into a permanent place in my collection, a place very few find a home, no amount of money could get the guns there back out of my possession.
The only real thing I have left to get is a good holster in Black to match the grips. I love the Don Hume IWB it rides in now, first I have ever had, and would like to get a black one just like it

Got some pictures today so here they are

Can you say, DYE? I would, unless you want two different color ones.

Default Hmmmm.....

Good point KEN L, Dye hadn't even crossed my mind yet. That would be another first for me but I believe it is worth looking into...updates to come.
