Default Body Guard Kit

I know the company is out of business, but years ago there was a company that made a kit that once fitted to a model 36 or 60 turned the gun into a style similar to the 49. Does anyone remember the name?

The part you are thinking of was for a Colt I believe and was sold by them in the 50's & 60's. It was reproduced about 10 years ago by Waller & Sons in Wallingford, Ct. I believe that they have moved to Sunapee, New Hampshire since or gone out of business. I have lost track of them. Waller made fine gun cases and the like... Not sure if they ever made a shroud for a S&W.

The other item you may be thinking of is the Bianchi "Lightening" stocks which have a wrap around section that give a J or K frame gun a "bodyguard" configuration, albeit in rubber.

Last I read, Michael de Bethencourt was making some. Send him an email and see what the status is. He's a super-nice guy and a real snubby fan.
