Question where are the 65's anymore?

Seems like a year or two ago that I would see a M65 for sale now and then on here. A lot of the 3" models and very few 4" models. I have a 1990 model 65-4 that I wouldn't sell unless something severe happened that I needed some money. I like mine and maybe that is why people that have them, hang on to them.
Maybe it is because they aren't worth a lot of money so it wouldn't be a big money maker.
Anyways, I was just thinking about it and am curious.
Hope ya'll had a great 4th,
gordon

They show up fairly frequently on the auction sites, usually in the $3-400 range, 3" examples being more expensive. Someday in the not-too-distant future the police trade-in market will dry up and they will be more scarce.

Enjoy, and happy 4th to you as well.

Hey, right now the market has been flooded with a bunch of 3" model 65's on gun broker and some of the distributor sights. I think they came from a state corrections agency.

Sold my 3" 65 last week for $500. Anything 3" right now seems to be selling good. My goal is to replace it with a 3" 13. I like blue.

They're some still around just more expensive these days. I guess people are rapidly learning to appreciate the quality of the older revolvers and are hanging on to them as they know they are not going to be easily or economically replaced.

I know where a bunch of 'em are...isn't that the stainless fixed rear sight .357?....Yes I know where you can go and have your pick of a dozen or more police trades at a gunstore in OKC.

A pal just went there and bought a model 66
