Wink Newsflash,rogue M-67 captured !

Hi all, I was just finishing up an oil change on my lovely brides car last Friday when one of my fellow guncranks stopped by for a visit, pouring the last of the Wolfshead synthetic into the belly of the beast I suggested we test drive it to a few local gunshops. What the heck a few gallons of gas is a good trade for an oil change and new air filter is it not? Now I,ve been on the lookout for a Model 67 for quite awhile now and have found only one other one (hammered) for sale in the last few years. Anyhoo we sauntered into the second shop and checked out the used handgun shelf and lo and behold what did I see lurking on the shelf trying to be unobtrusive, the fugitive M-67-1. After the counterman cornered and grabbed the little beastie I gave it a detailed inspection. A few scuffs here and there on the stainless finish, a few dings on the stocks. A check of the mechanic's showed a good lock up, plenty of timeing left and minimal endshake and no push off evident with no bulges in the barrel it was deemed worthy of incarseration by me. No box or such as usual and bail was set at $399.00 and was paid. After getting it home it was given a good cleaning and I snapped a few lousy pic's, ignore the date stamps as I cannot get rid of the dang things (wish I could take good pictures). A range session is in order Monday morning and if its any thing like my M-15's it wil proove to be a good shooter as well. Now I have to keep an eye out for that scofflaw M-58 that has been eludeing me! Thanks for looking!

Congrats! Looks like a fine Smith. I have a 67 no dash with the stainless rear sights. (1973) My wife kind of took it over at the range. Now I have to rough it with my 586, or 28, or........ Bob

Didn't know what to think when I saw your thread title, rouge is women's make-up. I think you must have meant rogue! And I really like 67's, too.

Rouge, rogue- it's a 67! I have a 67-3, and just love it. Just as important, it returns love in equal amounts to me by being reliable, accurate, and just plain beautiful. Sigh.
