Default ren. waxed my 442

I've been so impressed with this renaissance wax that I've been putting on all my man jewelry. Last month I put it on my 442 & have since put 300 rounds through it in three different range sessions. Powder marks just wipe right off with a microfiber cloth. Since the aluminum parts of the 442's are flat looking, the wax does not give it a shine which is great. It leaves a great outer protection. Only maintenance I have to do is clean the cylinders & barrel after I shoot. Holster wear does not seem to have an effect on this wax. Not that I know something that you guys might not know, but just thought I would share.

My thinking is with the complaints I've heard of the finish wearing off of the 442's and 642's is that this Renaissance Wax seems to be the ticket to slow down holster wear effects.

I haven't used it on a holster, BUT I use it on my 642, my Model of 1989--which has a blasted finish, and all of my Ahrends grips. My 642 seems to be holding up well.
