here's a picture of my 3" Talo 629 44 magnum with its little brother, 686 3" 357 magnum. . I found mine at a local gun store unfired in their used case for $650.

It seems to me that there are often a lot of very lightly used .44mags in used gun cases ... maybe not quite "un-fired", but probably more like "3-rounds-and-this-looked-easier-in-the-movies-I've-had-enough-fired"

Exactly how I got the 29 I just acquired. My buddy put less than a box through it before he decided it was too much gun.
