Master Revolver Action Package
Has anyone had a Master Revolver Action Package done to their revolver by Smith and Wesson's Performance Center. If you did, were you happy with the results.

I had this package done on my 686+. All I can tell you is it never ceases to amaze me how perfect the action is on that revolver. It is so clean and precise. It has a reduced power Wolff mainspring and 12 pound rebound spring installed, and it has been 100% reliable with all ammo, even Euro junk with hard primers. Well worth the cash in my opinion.

Thanks, I'm thinking of having it done to my new 586. The express PKG claims to to have a 5 day turn around.

Had it done on several revolvers. Noticeable improvement in both single and double action. The express package resulted in significant savings in shipping costs.

Did that and a gold bead sight on my 66-4. I like them both.

I had one done on my 625-10 along with bobbing the hammer and installing Nils grips. The trigger pull is 12 pounds. Everybody who has tried it has guessed the trigger pull at about 6 pounds. I'm happy - smooth means a lot.

I have a 14-3 out at the factory as we speak. It had an endshake issue. I added the Master Action Package on to the work order. After reading this thread I'm GLAD I did. Should have the gun back in a couple of weeks. Can't wait. Mike

I just bought A 686 with 5" barrel the Talo production. I am thinking about having this done. What was total cost and does A FFL have to ship back to S&W?

Contact S&W and use the Express Shipping option. You will get it back much faster, and save money on shipping. They will send you a shipping label, and you will be billed at their corporate shipping rate. Current price on their website is $185 plus shipping (probably another $15 to $20):

Glad to see someone else with the same firearm. Got mine 2-3 weeks ago from Buds. The white outline rear sight is crooked on that pistol and there is a major blemish on the barrel underneath the ejector housing. (can't think of the correct term). Looks like the metal was edged with a jagged blade. Been sanding on it but not making much headway. Also bought a new 627 about a month ago and the sight is crooked on it also. Makes you wonder where S&W quality control is. Been buying revolvers all of a sudden just in case Autos are banned at some future point. Lots of crazy politicians out there looking for votes. Anyway, otherwise, they are beautiful guns.

If "autos" are banned in the future. Does that mean you can't purchase them; or actually have to turn them over?
