Default 500 Magnum Compensator Removal

I know this sounds corny but I'd just bought my .500 a couple weeks ago, and I'm having trouble removing the compensator, that was already installed when I'd purchased it, it is pretty hard to turn it, any suggestions?

I like to remove at ease, when I need to.

Which one are you trying to remove the lead one or the jacketed one... you will need to use the metal L shaped tool to remove the lead one they get stuck on real good, did you look at the end of the allen screw and turn it in the right direction.... that is a start just follow the directions in the S & W Generic revolver owners manual lol lol yeah Generic for a different gun than the rest, thanks Smith
