Default 442 Range report with photos

Well, the range was open today and the wife and I took my 442, her 642 and my XDMc 9MM to the range today.

I received the new to me 442 on Monday. It had 10 rds run through it and he gave me the extra 90 rds with the gun and a Tuff pocket carry holster.

Anyway, It shot like a dream. I used the same loads in both my wifes 642 and my 442 and I swear the 442 felt softer with recoil and the trigger was not as difficult as the 642 was before I did a trigger job on the 642. I am not sure I will do a trigger job on the 442 because it feels fine for me... I'm guessing the grips (factory) made the difference. My wife has crimson trace pink grips and they are more of a plastic feel then rubber. I have Wolff springs so I can do the mod at anytime but so far, I am going with what came from the factory.

Anyway, two photos... one is the first 5 rounds and the other is after 80 rds at 7 yds.

Nice shootin', if you like the 442 the way it is, there's no reason to change it.

That is one big hole in the target, nice shooting. Makes me want to take the day off and head to the range.
