Are these as good as the older ones?
Found on for sale nib. for $700.00

That depends on what you mean by "good". I'm sure it would be a fine shooter, and M27s are great revolvers. There were only 2500 produced according to the catalog, so they will have collector value.
I wouldn't mind having one, but I prefer the older pinned and recessed ones, and this one isn't.
If I had to guess, I'd say that price is a bit high.
My opinion, by the way, is worth exactly what you paid me for it.

Blue book is $895 and I just sold one for $900. The only one in GB completed auctions went for $900. You get a great looking presentation case with the gun.
