Default 625 model of 1989

The LGS has a 5" barrel stainless 625 w/ MODEL OF 1989 on the barrel the older style, round thumb latch, rubber grips.

No box or manual

They want $799.00 + tax

What do you folks think, is this a fair price?

There is room to negotiate. Several months ago I managed to get a very nice 3" 625-3 at $750 (asking price was $900), and the consensus is that the shorter barrel guns bring a premium compared to the units with longer barrels.

On the other hand, how often do you find a Model of 1989 on a gunstore shelf? These are well-regarded and in-demand revolvers, and if you want one you may have to pay a little more for the satisfaction of immediate ownership.

I would try to get it for $675-700, meaning you should make a starting offer around $600-625. Good luck.

At least $50, if not $100 too high, in my opinion, but considering that a 5 inch 625-3 sold on GB yesterday for $1,725.00 who knows? Just my 2 cents worth.

I traded for one a year or two ago at one of our local shows. The guy had it marked $690. It was like new with the box and papers.
But these M625s are popular right now and that price is probably not unheard of.
