Wood copy of Pachmayr Compac?
Is anyone aware of a grip maker that makes a wood version of the Pachmayr Compac grip for a J-frame?

I'm sure one of the Thai grip makers could hook you up. Try Grand Blue and a few others. Be warned the fit may require some help when you get them.

Schofield81 made a set for my model 64 and is right now making a set for my model 36. He does fantastic work and he is right here on the forum. Take a look at the thread above that Zebulon refers to, you will be happy.

Just received a pair of Compac Pro grips for my J frame from Scofieldkid81. He also made a pair for my K frame. These J frame grips are beautiful and fit perfectly. A pleasure dealing with him. Recommend him highly.

Okay, why does a search for 'Scofieldkid81' and 'Scofield81' return zero results on this forum? Hmmm?

And I should have looked at what I was copying. I know how it should be spelled...just didn't look!
Thanks

Nills Nill Griffe - News makes wraparound wood grips that are much like rubber grips. It's a German outfit, and their grips are pricey, but they are nice.
