Default High Vis front sight for 642?

Can a High Vis front sight be bought or added for 642? Thanks.

Instead of a High Vis front sight, have you considered the Crimson Trace LG-405? For me, this works really well with the M642. Really helps me.

A 642 does not have a pinned front sight so changing it out can be a major chore. It can be done, but how much are you willing to spend? Most people use sight paint of some kind on 642s

they can be added, but it is a gunsmith required installation since the original sight is part of the barrel on the 642's. I have the CT laser grips on my 638 but would still like to add a big dot front sight.

I had to have the Stainless Steel blade on my 629 milled off in order to put a pinned black serrated target sight on it.

Yes it can be done. My smith charged $50 for the job, and I supplied the sight blade.

Two or three coats of florescent modeling paint has worked well for me, for years on my 642, a daily back-up gun.
