Default Anyone have the PC627 "Blood Work" as their Primary CCW??

Hey all.

I just recently became a fan of the PC627 revolver. I think it's a great looking piece and would love to own one.

I'd like to know how many of you that own this revolver have moved it to the TOP of your CCW GUNS list? Those that have chosen to carry it, do you carry it every day or just occasionally? What are your thoughts on it as a CCW piece?

Aside from CCW, what do you think of it? Is it worth the price or is it overpriced? Are there 2 versions of it? I thought I remembered seeing in previous threads that some of you had different versions and some were paying more than others. Is that right?

If you all don't mind, how about posting pics of your pistol along with the carry rig you have chosen for it
Hopefully there will be a lot of great pics posted for all to enjoy and be envious of.

Thanks for your time.

Sorry, no pics.

Got my Lobo Enhanced Pancake about two weeks ago and carried the 627 every day since. Very comfortable, conceals well under a sweatshirt. Not much different from carrying the 2.5" 686+. This will be my winter carry.

I tried carrying this and didn't like it. I gave it an honest effort and tried 4 different name brand holsters and I always use a good belt. No matter what I tried it always felt top heavy. I hope my description is understandable. With the concealment holsters I tried the posistion of the cutouts for the belt were located toward the bottom of the holster and that bigger heavier frame above the belt made it feel top heavy. I also have a 627 Pro which has a 4 inch barrel and I think that gun is more comfortable to carry. What I did find is that I love the moon clips that the 627 PC and Pro have. I sold my PC gun and had my L Frames cut for moon clips and I carry my 3 inch 686 and I'm a happy camper.

Is your 686 3 inch one of the 7-shot versions? I'd like to have one of those too. I think it would make a darn near ideal sidearm for bowhunting pigs.

I wish there were some pics posted by the members of their carry rigs with the 627. I didn't know much about this model and I recallnseeing threads about it months ago. Now I look at it anew and I really like it. I'd love to find a shop that has one so I could handle it and check it out.

Just something appealing to me about "packin' a Hogleg" on my side for CCW. If I could only find a job where I could get paid go do it.....

Thanks all. Hopefully some pics willnshow up for us to enjoy. Post your rig Sparrowbird, I'd like to see it too.

Hello
I carry mine about twice a week. I have the Galco holster. It carries very well. A little heavy, but manageable.
On the different versions, I think you are referring to the fluted cylinder model and the non fluted cylinder model, of which they made both.
