I had purchased a 617 6" and a 686+ 5" about 5 weeks ago. Took awhile to get my club memberships taken care of but today was the first day out...I had an absolute blast shooting these revolvers!

What made it even better was taking my Dad with me. It was the first time we when shooting in about 25 years. I suspect it will happen many more times.

One thing I discovered is that Remington Thunderbolt is truly garbage ammo. Too bad I have 6 350 packs....

I now think I need a Model 25 in .45 Colt...

nice choices .my 17 is one of my favorites a friend of mine has a 5" 686 very nice piece ,points naturally and the extra round makes a difference when youre chasing a range ball against a guy with a sixshooter haha
