Default "Rust Prevent"

All,
I am doing some holiday maintenance of a few safe queens, and picked up a spray of this name, at my LGS, that leaves a thin film on the surface.
I'm assuming no damage to nice finishes since it is specifically recommended for firearms?
Anyone with any experience with it?
Thanks in advance.
Scott
