Default 19-5 Rear Sight

Hello there, got a question for you guys. I have a model 19-5, 6 inch barrel, nickel plated that needs a new rear sight. I have seen several shopping around on the interent, but not really sure which is the correct one, and the correct sight height, if anybody could point me in the right direction that would be great. It has a fixed bead blasted looking front patridge sight if that helps any. I tried the Smith Smithing section but no replies. Thanks!

I don't know if the photo show enough, this is a 19-5:

Model 19: The .357 Combat Magnum Caliber: .357 Magnum/.38 Special. Double-action revolver built on the square butt K Target frame with four screws. Blue or nickel finish, originally available in 4” ribbed barrel only, with a 1/8” Baughman Quick Draw on a plain ramp base front sight with micrometer click adjustable rear sight...Later versions with red ramp front sight and white outline rear sight.

Thanks for the reply, but I was more hoping for something like a part number or a link. I have found some rear sights for sale, but didn't know what the correct sight height was for my revolver, and was hoping someone could point me in the right direction. Also, since the front sight is silver in color should the rear sight be also? All I have seen is black or black with white outline rear sights. The previous owner put a cheap tasco red dot sight on it, and I was wanting to remove that and put it back to iron sights.

Does anyone know what sight height I need? I found some sight assemblies, but it says refer to chart to find correct sight height, but there's not a chart. Thanks

I took the red dot off, and found out it is the old square style sight assembly. Also figured out it is a .146 blade height and S&W no longer stocks the item. I found a few on ebay and gunbroker, but I don't want to put somebodys old rusty junk on my beautiful gun. Does anybody know who makes replacement rear sight assemblies, other than Bowen? ($125 and drill it yourself sounds expensive to me)

The rear blade should be .146 in height. Try MidwayUSA.
