Model 65-5 Lady Smith
New to the forum guys. Looking forward to the content. Purchased a model 65-5 Lady Smith today. Should have this week hopefully. Was trying to find some original grips and the hard clamshell box as it's coming with no box and after market grips. Anyone have any resources? Didn't have any luck on eBay or gun broker at first look today.
Thanks in advance for the info. Looking forward to getting the gun and posting some pics.

Welcome to the forum. The three inch Lady Smith 65-5s (or any of the dash numbers) are fine guns; the best of the 65s in my opinion. The original grips and box are not easy to find although both will likely turn up on eBay sooner or later. Here's one I found last fall. Good luck and enjoy.

Welcome to the forums!
I believe some of the Model 65 Lady Smiths came with a soft bag instead of the hard case.
Here is what mine came with...
Good luck in your hunt.

I wasn't sure if there was a way to tell which it came with originally and to be honest. I like the hard case so that's what I'm gonna try and find. Lol. Nice looking gun. Thanks for the reply

Messer didn't say what his dash number was but I also have a -6 which came with the same package that he shows. I think the -5 came with a soft case marked Lady Smith although I don't have the soft case for mine.

Mine is also a dash 5 and came with the soft Bob Allen bag inside a blue plastic box. You're gonna love it.

65-5
Here's another 65-5 Lady Smith with the correct soft box and grip. I believe the 65-5 was the last of the Lady Smiths to not use mim parts.

20+ of the "old style" S&W blue plastic cases are for sell everyday on eBay. You need to change your search terms if you can't see them.
If you're not picky, the current "new style" blue plastic cases are even more numerous and tend to sell for less. With patience you can pick them up for less than $20 shipped.

Which of the Lady Smith 65s came in either the "old style blue plastic case" or the "new style" blue plastic case? Thought they were either in the fitted Lady Smith case or the Lady Smith marked soft case as shown above? Thanks.

None, as far as I known. The OP mentioned he wanted a blue plastic case despite it not being original. I was addressing that.

The 65-5 LS that I bought last fall came with the soft case. The few I have run across in person all had the soft case. I'm glad I overcame my hesitation about buying a gun with "Ladysmith" engraved on it, the 65-5 Ladysmith is a terrific revolver. In many ways it is like a fixed sight version of a 3" Model 66. If I ran across another for a reasonable price I wouldn't hesitate to buy it.

Nothing like a 3" Model 65-5!

My 65-5 LS came with the pink purse in the cardboard box, but with aftermarket rubbers. I have also been looking for a set of original grips. I have been thinking of trying a set of altamont "classic panel" super rosewoods for as close as I can get.

65
Do only the 65LS models have an ejector rod shroud? I have a couple of 65's
but both are exposed ejector rods 65-3 and 65-5.

Correct, "standard" Model 65 don't, the Lady Smiths do.

Both of mine are 65-5. One came in the blue plastic case, and the other in the Bob Allen bag. I didn't get the box, just the bag.
The pic of the blue case label was taken by the previous owner, I used flash when I took the pic of the gun on the case...makes the color different.
These are the factory grips that came on the blue case one.

Love my Lady! The day I found her and completed the transaction I ran out of the store like I was stealing. Mine came with the rug only. Pic with her twin "brother".

I'm really glad you posted the two together.
I was seriously thinking about selling or trading one of mine for a regular 3" 65.
Now I think the girls will always be together.

The Ladies definitely feel more "robust" due to the underlug, but I wouldn't get rid of my regular 65.

My 65-LS is my favorite revolver. Sadly it's also my daughter's favorite revolver! I figure she'll have it sooner or later so I plan on making it sooner! Luckily I have a standard 3" 65 that I like almost as much!

I'm still wanting to polish the one that came in the bag.
I keep talking myself out of it, but I might live in.

The original grips for the 65-5 were made by Ace, so you may want to search under that name. If I remember correctly Ace was owned or bought by Smith and Wesson. The round combat style used on the 65-6 and 65-7 are made by Altamont and I believe are still available from them.
Great gun by the way!

That's it! Heading to the Fallon gun show to start my search for a 65-5 LS!! Will be easier than customizing my 681.

Brand New Lady Smith 60-14
Bought this on impulse on a trip to my LGS for ammo. It felt so good in hand and the action was light and smooth.
