Default Manufacturer Date: Model 65-4
Serial # on butt of gun is BFS1XXX. Any idea what the manufacture year would be? Thanks.

Hello,
The Standard Catalog of S&W dates your revolver to 1990 as s3dcor has mentioned. That would be the year 1990, NOT late 90's.
