Its a 10 shot and with a empty cylinder it does not lock up on 4 chamber holes in a row BUT with rounds in the chamber holes it locks up perfectly fine. Seems to me there used to be 2 locking pins ?? on the cylinder back in the day when they were 6 shot only guns. Very interesting indeed. It uses the cases to lock itself up.Any comments?
The alignment pins have been eliminated and they use an X shaped extractor, which often fits a bit loosely and relies on cases to time and lock-up correctly. If you are a bit of a perfectionist like me, you can remove the extractor and peen the X tips of the extractor just a bit to lock-up more tightly without cases. Remember the extractor rod is left hand threaded. Care has to be exercised. A little goes a long way.
