Custom grips (round butt) and holster for Model 19?
I just purchased a Model 19-3 2 1/2" nickel and I would like to dress it up a bit with some fancy custom grips. Could anybody suggest a source/maker? I'm also going to be looking for a nice, leather OWB holster, also preferably custom. I would appreciate any suggestions there as well.
Thanks,
Gonzo

Big selection there on the grips, I prefer the Hogue finger grooves but, they're nothin' compared to some nice hard woods. DeSantis makes a nice moulded holster though, available through Amazon.

Nickle suggestion
Rosewood or Laminated Rosewood Combat Grips would be my choice, and it is on my Scandium 325NG. As for a holster, OWB, IWB or shoulder holster, is up to you. Good Luck! you may have to made your own, I did. Old Faithful Holster IWB, Leather and Kydex. It is a challenge, but nobody produced a IWB for a S&W 325 NG, so I made one custom.

the first pair I bought off of gunbroker. I believe they were take offs from a 586 L comp. Smith sells them on their site. I have them on my 19 k comp
The second pair on some grips from a ladysmith and are pictured on my 66. Very classic, but classy.

I looked a long time and finally found a pair of Sambar stag grips for my model 19 2 1/2". They look and feel fabulous. I love them. They fit my hand better than any grip I've tried. I got lucky. I carry my 19 in a older Safariland Klipspringer leather holster that has a retention strap and is elk suede lined. It is very easy to mount and remove from my side. If I carried all the time, I would use a more secure mounting holster but the Klipspringer suits my purposes perfectly.

My Model 65-4 came with a set of Pachmayr snow tires. I ordered a pair of Ahrends unfinished retro combat grips, fit them, slightly re-shaped the butt, and then gave them three thin coats of Tru-Oil.

As to holsters, in leather, try Ken Null of Resaca, Georgia. He has reasonable prices and excellent delivery times.

What Iggy said. That combo is just the classic 2 1/2" M- 19 set up.
