Default 1981 Model 25-5 w/large throats

I'm going to have a table at a Gunshow on Sunday. One of the guns I'm selling is a Model 25-5. It's got the larger throats. It has an 8 3/8" barrel. Factory target stocks. It's condition: 90-95%. Mfg. in 1981
I bought the gun in 2004 and I have not followed values on this Model since then. Looking to sell the gun. No illusions of great deals. Where should a good deal for both parties fall?

Thank you. I looked through recent posts and I not see a gun like mine discussed.

Bob

I picked up a 25-5 last summer at a local gun show. It was NIB with paper box and wooden presentation case, with all the tools and all the paper work. It was a steal, I paid $600.00. The seller was happy and I was happy.

Wish you were in CA I would hunt you down and buy it. Let one of those get away from me in the mid 80's and I have been kicking myself ever since.

Default 1981 Model 25-5 w/large throats

I'm in CA and the CA thing is overrated, the inventory here is outrageous, I have learned that you have to wait your turn. I passed on a mint 4" w/o box for $750 due to over sized throats. A year later I picked up my 4" for less than $700 with wood box, correct throats, extra grips and ammo.

Man, I'm giving you points for being willing to disclose the throat issue to whoeve ryou sell to. Gun auction sites need more guys like you. I see so many bad liars it makes me sick, so you are a breath of fresh air.

Off topic a little, but I make repro Sioux beadwork for a hobby. Can't even call it 'Sioux' because it's against the law unless it's either a bona fide artifact, or made by a tribal member. I call it what it is, a modern repro made by a white guy, and I price it accordingly. eBay is haunted by AHs who violate that law without blinking. They'll say they have no proof but they bought it in SD from a roadside seller, or they got it from a guy who knew a guy -- stuff like that. It burns poor people because the amounts involved are huge. I can spot the fakes and I turn them in to a Federal agency that investigates this kind of thing. It hurts native sellers and unsuspecting buyers, and for what? As Marge from Fargo would say -- "...for a little bit of money."

All that to say that you're a good human being. Well done.
