These were factory revolvers with gold (titanium nitride) hammer, cylinder thumb piece, ejector rod and trigger. Produced for TALO in 2001. Rosewood finger groove laminate boot grips. Approximately 300 made of each. The advertisement for Talo special limited edition firearms suggests that these commemorated the 50 year anniversary of the Centennial style revolver.
I have the opportunity to purchase one of the 640's that is in good shape without the box, paperwork, etc. Any ideas if this revolver is worth more, less, or the same as a comparable 640-3. Also any opinions related to the appearance of the gold accents and wooden grips. The one available has the rosewood (as shown on the model 36) instead of the silver/black grips.
