Default My "New" 442

I picked up the 442 today and cleaned her up. Decided to snap some pics.
It's a 442-2 made sometime in early 2009. Put on the Pachmayr grips. The grip is great, but it's big!
Got a lot going on around the house this weekend, but I hope to get over to the range Tuesday to try her out.

Here, pictured with my M&P 9C

Nice!
Looks to be in good condition. What do you plan on using it for? Those grips are a little big for concealed carry. Let us know how it goes.

I havw Pachmayr Compacs on my J-frame, and I think they're a bit shorter than those. I love them--they give me a higher hold on the gun (a 640 .38 Special) and help reduce muzzle flip. If I were going to try to shoot an Airweight with my arthritic hands I would definitely want something larger than a boot grip.

Nice 442!

I have Pachmayr Compact grips cut down for speedloaders on my 442. It's easier to grip and I can still carry it concealed either in my pocket or on my belt.

I know, right? I'll try them out and see how it goes. They may only go on for trips to the range. I have a little neuropathy and a lot of arthritis, so I need all the help I can get. Even with a big butt, she's still a pretty gun.

Welcome to the club. They'll help. And yes, she's a sexy little thing.

Too funny!
Big grips may make them easier to shoot, but I'll stick to boots on my j-frames. If easy to shoot was the main thing, I'd have k-frames. I really like the uncle mike boots, got three sets, but I'm looking forward to trying out the Hogue bantams I just ordered off ebay the other day-- buy-it-now for $21.55 delivered, from ecop.
I also like the LG105 (small) laser grips on my RB 36.
