Default New 686 Questions

Hey everyone,

I just bought a no dash 686 a few weeks ago, but found another one for only $550 I couldn't pass up. When I met the seller and picked up the gun I noticed the barrel is compensated on either side of the front sight. When the grips are removed, it says P (with a little S on part of the P) and then C. What does this mean? The gun is a 686-4 with a 4" barrel.

Thanks,

Nathan

Are the compensated versions much more rare than the standard? Do they usually sell for more?

Performance Center edition, probably was a custom done with compensator.

Are the compensators rare? Are the PC guns like this any more desirable than the normal 686-4s?

I though it was pretty cool and couldn't pass it up, even though I've got an older no dash 686 already.
