Default 13-4 information help plz

I picked this up pretty cheap on impulse buy.
Locks up tight finish a little worn but looks nice with no freckles.
I was trying to find out more info on it but can't really find much off serial number range with about 30 min or so of looking.
Any info appreciated.
Without further delay here is your redneck porn.

Sorry about couple rough pics CAM5313 Think I got every # I could find on it.
Again thank you.
I thought it was odd that this gun has a round butt and 4 inch barrel but I'm by no means a expert and was hoping I could find someone that is.lol

It shipped in January 1996, and it is unusual in that it has a RB frame but also the grooved backstrap usually only found on Target-sighted guns. Enjoy!

Nothing unusual enough that I should not send it off to be refinished right? Thats kinda what I was asking for. Few shots fired thru this one but carried a bit by the looks.

Can't seem to find much unless it was a export gun but can't find any marks to indicate it was.

You could send it off for a refinish, but it looks to be a 96% gun or so...personally I'd opt to leave it as is.

Well I have never seen any type of stenciling like that on any of my revolvers. I've got about 15 smiths. What is the significance of that?

The standard S & W reference states that for about 18 months (about 1996) RB frames with serrated rear straps were made.

The frame markings were laser engraved instead of rollmarked, I think. They have the funny dotted look to them.

Ah.... Seeing this in one spot might worry me or make me think it was some import mark if I found this in a Pawn Shop. But all over the gun there had to be an explanation. Thanks for the info.

Thanks for all the info guys. Exactly why I come here often Loving the New gun. I've owned a lot of N and J frames but this is my first K I've owned and shot enough to get to know. I can't believe I haven't gotten one before this as It's becoming my favorite Rev. I may send it off to get refinished just because I keep things pretty nice and it looks out of place in the safe but right now I got a date with a box of 38's and some cans.

SGT K, does it also have a serrated front strap? During that 18 month period there were M 13-4's that had both front and backstrap serrations. I know 'cause I have one

Yes it does. Front and back. I have really fallen hard for this gun. I'm a little ignorant with older smiths to be honest. What type of grips would this gun have come with ? Best 250$ I've dropped in along time. LOL Never mind had a flamboyant moment this morning and ordered 2 sets of manga's one ivory and couple BK grips. I think it's going to look awesome.

Probably service/Magna wood stocks were original.
