Default Price check on a 19-5 2.25"

I've got a line on a Model 19-5 2.25 that appears looks almost new. It has a turn line, but shows very little wear at all the finish is beautiful. Ugly rubber black grips with no box. $500 seem reasonable to you folks?
Thanks,
Gonzo

Well, I'm working off of pictures only right now, but based on his description and the pictures, I would probably rate it higher than "nice" and more along the lines of "excellent". Which is why I'm leaning towards giving him a solid "I'll take it" before somebody else jumps in line in front of me. LOL!

That would be a good price around Atlanta, pinned and recessed with box and stuff would run $200.00 more.

If I ran into that at a LGS I would offer less but pay $500.
You could probably sell it the next day for a 10 percent gain.

It is being sold by an individual and he is pretty firm at $500.

Hope he doesn't see this thread

I have small track on the 19 snubbie. Not enough for a reasonable trend but enought to indicate that $500 is a good deal for you:

Smith & Wesson 19-5 2-1/2 inch barrel. Revolver in .357 Magnum,.38 Special, Plus P. Blue Book of Gun Values (33rd Edition) indicates between $325 in 95% condition and $550 in 100% condition for this gun. I have 65 recorded prices for this model gun from $395 to $995 over a period of 3 Yrs 2 Mos ending May 22, 2013. The average price as of that date was $566. No refurbs, no refinishes, regular sights. All represented as 95% or better. No distinction for import location or engineering revision, if any, no special editions, no distinctions for box, papers, tools. Current or last MSRP is $457.

I follow the 66 and 19 snubbies very closely. $500 is a very fair price. TheGreatGonzo, if you don't get it, give me his contact info and I will!

OK, I could not resist. Upon picking it up, it appears to have been shot very little and never carried. Sorry for the quick iPod pics, but I will get some decent ones up later.

Gonzo ... While most traditionalists won't like those grips, I can tell you from experience that they are excellent. Have 'em on on all of my carry K and L snubs.

It was a good buy. I wouldn't sell mine for that. Those are good grips for shooting!
