I have looked at three new 617's.
On all of them the cylinders can be moved(rotational) at lock up.
If you pull the trigger and let the hammer fall holding the trigger back it makes no difference. The amount of free play varies between the guns.
Is this by design allowing the bullet to center the cylinder?
My 17 no dash locks up tight.
I have a deposit on a 17-4 which is only $100 less than the new guns. Don't know which one I want.( both but a wedding prevails)
It is hard to pay big money for a new gun with slop in the lock mechanism.
Can anyone speak to this?
Thanks
Frank
