Default Manufacture date/shipping date

I just bought a used S&W .38 SPL +P airweight 637-2 and tried to find manufacture/ship date by looking in the S&W book online, as one of the newbies talked about in some of the posts, I could not find it. My Serial # is CJCxxxx, Also my gun has a lock on it but it did not come with the key and I could not find it on S&W website as an accessory or anything else, how can I get one?

I may have one. I bought a case at a yard sale and it was in it. If some one could post a photo of one I could attempt to compare . You'd be more than welcome to it if that is what it is. Not much to it..

Thanks I guess I will wait to see if someone posts a picture of a key before you will know if that is what you have.

Your link won't open, so I went to Amazon and used the item number. What I have is not even close. The key part is smaller than the ruger one for the 22/45 m3. Whole thing isn't much over an inch long with the knob being about the size of a pencil eraser.. Sorry..

CJC probably shipped in mid-late 2004. If you are referring to the standard internal lock above the cylinder latch, call S & W customer service and they will send you keys for free. Hope this is helpful.

Thanks everyone for your help, I have contacted S&W for replacement keys.
Shot the gun today shoots great not too much kick. Quite a bit lighter than my Lady Rossi but not too much smaller.
