I would like to know the manufacturing date/shipping date of my 4" nickel 586 (no dash) serial number AAN8xxx. Thanks for your help.

You are lucky, the available data pretty much narrows this one down to either October or November 1982. If you have the box we can tell you the exact date. Enjoy!
