Default Yearly Qualification with my Times 8

Yearly I qualify with both my 5906 and 686+ but this year I took my times 8 instead. The standard qualification includes a 12 shot run as follows:

Load gun with SIX rounds, at 75 feet onto two B27's from a draw and cover.

On signal, draw, 3 rounds in left target, 3 rounds on right target
reload
3 rounds on left and again 3 on right, clear, and show clear.

He told me my time to complete the run, and I explained my slow time on the 12 shots were due in part to my having to load the reloaded second six rounds correctly indexed so as not to drop the hammer on an empty cylinder twice.

The well seasoned instructor said it had never been done before in anywhere near my under 8 second time :-) I offered to go it again and get a better time and use all 16 rounds, he declined!

I guess the Times 8 gets to stay :-)
