Default new s&w n frame revolvers???

With the freaking plastic pistols taking over the top selling handguns spots now can I still order a brand new s&w n frame?
Or is the used one's is all we have to choose from?

I don't think there is another manufacturer who manufacturers a large revolver in 357mag, 41mag, 44mag and 45long colt?

I'm worried I'll never be able to fill my bucket list of owning the different s&w n frames. My spirit will roam the earth for ever still looking for them because of it.

If we lose the s&w n frame revolvers n nickel I'll be ......upset. It's a piece of freedom, American history and America we lost tell me it's not true so I can sleep again.

Ok I had a bad dream so tell me it ain't so?

S&W and Taurus still make double action revolvers in all these calibers. Ruger still makes .44s and .357s. Rossi makes .357s and perhaps still makes the .44; not certain of that. There are perhaps a few more, but high-power double action revolvers aren't great sellers any more, so it's hardly surprising that few companies make them. I wish Colt would make a few more double action revolvers but it seems like they are barely in the firearms manufacturing business any more.

There are still plenty of old N frames around. I for one don't care for nickel guns -- the finish is a maintenance nightmare. Although if I found a good condition Chief's Special or Bodyguard in nickel, I might be willing to change my mind....

Cheers,
Whisper

I like the nickel finish probably because colt discontinued it. I hope that s&w doesn't do the same. I have auto' s but I'm hooked on wheel guns.

There are a lot of people who want S&W to keep making revolvers, but they won't buy a new gun because of the lock -- plus the old ones are "better".

If you want S&W to continue to make revolvers, how about buying a new revolver (or two or three) from them?

Are you seriously asking is Smith still makes the N frame?

Whoops, typo. It appears the OP believes Smith no longer makes the N frame.

I purchased three new n frames and one used still unshot n frame In one year. All with the loc. It doesn't bother me either way. My
s&w model 58 & model 57 had two different feeling triggers. Putting some Moly paste made both trigger pulls and let off equal in smoothness.
I will try to buy a s&w n frame revolver as often as I can. It's my
Bucket list I'm working on. Remember he who dies with the most toys while wins.
