Can you guess why I bought this Model 27-4?
I don’t usually buy modern guns; I stick to the pre-model number and pre-war revolvers.
But when I saw this pristine Model 27-4 in a gun shop at a shade less than $700 I had to pick it up.
Any idea what made me reach for my wallet?
Hint: It's the part made of wood...

Interesting find...someone didn't like the original stocks and put on a set from the wood pile  .

Well with the value of the wood, you got yourself a pretty cheap shooter there that don't look half bad.

I've got a nice set of Pachmyer stocks I will trade even for those old time wood grips. They will make shooting that old revolver a whole lot easier and more fun for you. I'll bet I am not the only one here who would do that for you however. Isn't it nice to have so many "friends"? Seriously, great find. All my very best , Joe.

Jaymo, you're correct. Coke bottle grips from an early .44 Magnum or .41 Magnum.
