3" barrel K frames; need opinions**UPDATED**
if you had an opportunity to purchase the following 3" barrel K frames, all in excellent condition, probably all with original grips, all likely not fired outside of factory...how would you rank them RE most desirable to you, and why?
1. Performance Center model 19; gun only; ported top of
barrel, in front of sight; front night sight fairly dim
2. Performance Center model 13-4; gun only; quadraport
barrel
3. Performance Center model 66-6; box and papers, no tools
4. 65-2; gun only; 2 ports
pricing unknown as of now, so it doesn't influence the purchase yet.
thanks.

Since you state these are all relatively rare 3" K Frames, unfired outside of the S&W Factory, I would find them highly desirable. Not having seen pics of them, I would still say I'd jump at the chance to own one or more. Depending on the cost, it sounds like you've got yourself an awesome find. Please share more with us when you've made the purchase.

1. Model 66. Have looked for years for one like you found.
Have a 3" 65, unported, which are more common.
I don't like ported snubs, particularly, but they are obviously all collectible.

The Performance Center 19 would be the most desirable to me. A K-Comp is one of the sexiest performance center guns produced. I wouldn't feel guilty carrying and shooting a lot. Plus it was produced before the lock.
The 13-4 would be the most collectible, but I'm into shooting, not collecting. If I ever run across one I will probably buy it, but I doubt I would ever carry it. I believe only around 400 were made.
The 66-6 would still be a sweet little carry gun, but the 19 w/o lock beats it out.
the 65-2 is too "plain" compared to the others...for me
I think you will receive a lot of different answers to your question. Condition and unfired being constant, I suspect that price will vary between the four by quite a bit.

Absolutely everything else being equal:
The exact order in which you listed them, with the 19 and 13 occasionally switching places in my mind...

Here's a 19-7 and a 66-3...half sisters (different daddies).
I slightly prefer the look of the 66 + easier to clean after a day at the range.

I'd pick the Model 19 because it is pre-lock.

Ah, what a "problem" to face...My personal favorites, are the 19-7 (sights will be effectively gone) and the Double Action Only 13 quad ported...of course since I am fortunate to have them, I am partial to them. Try to "invest" in two of your choice.

3" K's
thanks all for the input.
Didn't know much about this particular model 19 or 13 until doing some searches on the Forum, and I appreciate your opinions.
The order I had them listed is how they float my boat. I am also wavering between the 19 and the 13 as my #1 choice...if there has to be a choice.
Hopefully I'll know more about prices in a few days and where this is headed.
If I am able to purchase any or all, they'll likely become well cared for shooters. Time to set them free.

3" K frame PC's
It's been over a month now since this opportunity first came about and we are making some headway on getting these 3" K frames.
All beautiful revolvers in excellent condition, appearing to be unfired other than factory.
I know I am super lucky to have this opportunity
Here are 3 photos of the Performance Center 19-7 K comp (yes, I have a question about the grips...that's why the boring photos) and one photo showing the 19-7 K comp along with the equally beautiful Model PC 13 .357.
According to the SCSW, this K comp came with "rubber combat grips". I can see how these would be great carry grips.
But, I am a bit surprised the grip fit around the trigger guard and at the base isn't a little better. Anyone else with a K comp with factory grips that fit the same way?

Hands down the 2 most desirable guns on that list are the 19-7 K-Comp and the PC 13. The 66-6 with internal lock are a dime a dozen. Also, just a FYI, the 66-6 do not come with tools. I have seen that K-Comp before, those grips I remember lol.

If that's the case I would like to offer up a handful of dimes for a few dozen 66-6 F comps if there are any sellers out there
