What Do These Marks Mean? Factory Repair

My gunsmith is very experienced yet could not decipher some of these markings.

He thinks it may have gone back to the factory at some time in its life since 1989.

What say you?

They're on this fine piece of machinery with the barrel scope mounts.

These all appear to be normal stamps from the factory. The large S indicates a stainless gun and the others are fitter or inspector marks. The circular stickers indicate the grip frame was not oily since purchase

. A modern gun returned to the factory is usually not stamped as such also.

Called S&W and they had no record of it having been returned.
