Default I know this sounds crazy, but hear me out. 460XVR question

So, I will be bringing home a 5" XVR this coming tuesday.

It has the factory Hogue rubber shock absorbing grips on it currently.

I am just curious if anyone can direct me to where I can find some hardwood finger groove grips for the XVR?

I know it sounds crazy. I will certainly fire it with the Hogue grip on it to determine if I want to even TRY a hardwood grip.

I have searched this topic 6 ways from sunday with no results. I have looked at Altamont's page and they don't list X-frame grips.

I have been told by a friend that he remembers seeing somewhere that K/L round butt grips fit the X-frame...

Can anyone confirm or correct that?

Also, I am beginning to search for a chest holster for that XVR. I intend to do more handgun hunting. I have found that the vast majority of popular leather makers only offer chest rigs for 8-3/8" models. Simply Rugged can do a rig for my 5". Can anyone recommend any other leather makers that can do a chest rig for a 5" X-Frame??

PS: I can't wait to light that thing up!!!

I love firing full house mags out of my 629 Classic. I have fired a 4" M-500 once in the past and found it not much worse than my 629. Compensator is a big player in that....

Anyway, I'll post pics when I get it. That 460 looks just plain MEAN with a 5" barrel!

Here's my 500 with Hogue K/L monogrips. And no, I haven't taken it to the range since it got wood. Of course, Hogue will not warranty if they know you're using these stocks on a 500.

Thank you both for clearing up the grip question for me.

I appreciate it.

Waiting for a "certain somebody" to swing in here... He knows who he is!! LOL!
