Default 460 Tool Question

I bought myself a very nice S&W 460 with 8 3/8 barrel for Christmas.

Can someone please tell me what the round L shaped rod is for that I found in the box? Is it for pushing out stuck cases after firing? I saw no mention of it in the manual.

It is used to remove and install compensator, though they usually can be turned by hand.

Enjoy your new gun.
