S&W Model 48 22 magnum 6" barrel

6 inch barrel 10-O- Grip grips. SN K385078 says 22 MRF CTG on the barrel. Some pitting of the metal finish-how to fix that?
Also, does anyone have a rough idea of the current value? The new model seems to list at $919 for the 4 inch barrel model. It shoots well. Thanks!
