Default Model 69

What do you guys think of the Model 69? Should I buy one? Is it still a "no dash"?

Do a search on here. A lot of info on the 69 and all seems to be good. I own one and just love it. Going to buy the shorter barrel one when it comes out

Simple answer is "yes", go ahead and buy one. I love my 4.25", and will more than likely get the new 2.75" after turkey season is done. Can't have something shiny distract me during those few weeks of fun and frustration

Bought mine as soon as it was available.....I carry mine while hunting in the back country and it's nice having the smaller frame in a .44 Mag. Much less bulky than the N frames and still packs that punch power we all love! GET ONE!!!!

I agree with all that is said, I've had my a little over 2 years. My opinion it's a great revolver if you hand reload your own amo. I keep my reloads between special and magnums range. I'm not worried about the revolver falling apart shooting magnum loads I worry about me😎 I've had a lot of different revolvers in 44 magnum,by far I enjoy this won the best.

Keep in mind you can shoot the 44 Special Hunting loads in this and still have plenty of knock down power with a bit less of the recoil. And of course a light target load with a SWC lead bullet in a .44 Magnum case is a hoot to shoot through the 69.

I just got one for Christmas, and its my first 44. I have a feeling it will get expensive as I will be getting the shorter barrel as well. Buy one and you wont regret it!

My M69 is making me consider reloading. One amazing aspect for me, it's 3 ounces lighter than my M686!

If all things being equal... a larger bore and less metal in barrel and cylinder than a 686, would equal less weight.

The M69 I have was found after looking at 2 of them at other gun shop, the other two had canted front sights. Comparing the alignment between the serrations on the barrel rib and frame top strap you could see how much the barrel shrouds were off.

I definitely like the proportions of an L-Frame platform over my N-Frame M28's & M29's, but I wish it did not have the two piece barrel & shroud and instead had the regular full underlug barrel to make it a tad nose heavy for offsetting some of the muzzle climb/flip.

As I get older with the worsening arthritis in my hands and wrists from being a computer keyboard jockey for 39 year, felt recoil is becoming more of a factor in what I choose to buy and shoot.
