Question assembled correctly ?

I had to take the side plate off of my 686+ to remove some light surface rust on the mainspring . I wanted to know if there was a way to check to make sure if I put it back together correctly. I'm mostly wondering if the hammer block is in the right position to function properly and safely before I take it back to the range to shoot. I appreciate any feedback... thank you

I'm not 100% but I don't think the side plate would go back on with the hammer block in the wrong place. It rides in a narrow groove in the plate.

+1 on that. I have removed the side plate many times. If the hammer block is not riding in the slot it is meant to be in; the side plate will not go back on properly.
